Moylan likely out for the year

Worst-case scenario realized:

The Braves' top setup man was examined Wednesday by Dr. James Andrews, who confirmed the diagnosis made earlier by Braves doctors: Moylan has a bone spur pressing against the ulnar collateral ligament, which has "compromised" the ligament.

He will continue treatment for two weeks before he's reevaluated to determine if UCL reconstruction, commonly known as "Tommy John surgery," is necessary.

Feels just like 2005 again. And '06. We could complete the trip down memory lane by re-signing Reitsma or Kolb, both of whom are available.

Sorry 'bout that. Actually, not all the news is bad. BMF says he'll be ready to go once his DL stint ends. Looks like Glavine will avoid the DL altogether, and even Hampton sounds optimistic about a speedy return.
